Modern Wing Photos (Part 1)

It feels good to finally post some new photos.I didn't do a great job with this Portra 800 film, but it did yield some interesting photos. I really like how the people are reduced to minimal silhouettes. I got to visit the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago this weekend. I went to Chicago to visit Katie and also got to see the Gorillaz in concert (I'll get around to posting some photos and video). Here are the first of the photos.

Splitzer

I bought a Splitzer when I ordered the 55mm lens. I figured it would be something else to play around with. I finally messed around with it when I went to Anna Maria island. The roll of film was sitting in my camera forever. I finally shot the last few frames and got it developed this weekend.

I've been listening to Baxter a lot lately. I couldn't find an actual video to I Can't See Why, but I found this video with some cool projections on a building.

Farmville (Photos from Ohio Part 1)

I think I already posted this video some time ago. But I couldn't think of anything else related to the post.

Stonehenge

Two miles of walking at 4:30 in the morning is not something I usually look forward to. But I was excited to get to go see Stonehenge at sunrise. Visitors are typically restricted to being roped off a few hundred feet from the stones. Thanks to Momo and her inside tip, I was able to go early and get as close to the stones as I wanted. Going so early not only provided lighting, but it also gave me the chance to take pictures with only a handful of other people around. It was pretty easy to get some nice photos without a bunch of people standing around. It was already daylight when I left the hotel in Amesbury, and the scenery was beautiful. It was a really great experience.

A Few Photos

And by few... I mean four. I can't sit here and scan photos and not post some of them! It is getting late, and I am still feeling sick from my jet lag. I have regained most of my hearing though. Don't take two flights when your head is incredibly stuffed up. Just a bit of advice.

Randomness (Photos)

Today I did some test shots on a couple of rolls of slide film (Fujichrome Provia 400X and Kodak Ektachrome E100 VS). The two rolls will be sent off to some lab in Atlanta to be cross processed. I am anxious to see how they turn out so I can figure out what kinds of film I want to take with me to Europe. It's all one big experiment.

Here are some random photos from various rolls I shot over the past several months.

I was going to post Futuristic Casket by Phantogram, but the YouTube vids are crap. All two of them. So, here is Running from the Cops instead.
