A lots been going on this week. I finally got over the Ebola that was ailing me last week. Luna managed to get out of the backyard on Thursday. Thanks to OUC for leaving the gate open. Yesterday, I waited in line for an exorbitant amount of time to get an iPhone. What the hell takes them so long to set up the damn account???

Windy City

Chicago was an awesome get away. There is just something about being there that I really enjoy. Here are some pics from last week:

Here is the Cloud Gate at Millennium Park. It is even more impressive in person.

Its hard to see, but Jess, Cassie, and I are in the reflection of the mirror.

I swear the guy in American Gothic escaped and was checking himself out. I wish I had a better cam than my cel phone.

Here is an aardvark in a busket.

The H8r and I at Lincoln Park Zoo.

This is a ridiculously cute Sun Bear gnawing on a bone.

Sick as Hell

I got back last night. I went to bed and had the chills. I woke up several times during the night from dreams of being lost in Millennium Park. But it was a weird sort of nightmarish contortion. The park would constantly shift around on giant concrete slabs like plate tectonics. I could always see where I was trying to get to, but could never reach it because of the constant rearrangement of the park. Anyway, it was all induced from my stomach cramps and pounding headache. I am finally feeling slightly better.

On the plane, I had some time to draw. So, I roughed out what I thought the inside of my logo's head will look like.

I sat next to a little old Spanish lady on the flight home. As the plane neared Orlando, the woman tapped me on the shoulder and told me how much she'd loved my drawings. She said that she had always hoped that one of her sons would be an artist. It was really unexpected. Its great to hear some input from someone who is so outside my circle.

Time Waster

My distraction lately has been Team Fortress 2. It sounds weird, but I am in love with Valve's render engine. It just looks fantastic.

I've been told on several accounts my new logo idea isn't so different from the Pyro. My fascination with gas masks started before that though. Actually, I would say I was probably more influenced from Pandemic's logo. If not from something earlier.

I'll be packing for Chicago soon. I have so much to do at work this week. I am sure all of the stress will be worth the fun I'll have though. I also got my ticket to go to Puerto Rico next month.
