I just saw this video by Dead Weather on Kitsune Noir. Mimi told me I should check out Dead Weather last week. Now I wish I'd listened to the album sooner.

So Much to Do
The past two weeks have been a torrent of events. Work has been super busy. And the pace hasn't let up on the weekends. I drove over to Tampa on Friday to hang out at the Florida Aquarium with Mimi. Oh, and drink some disgusting drinks. Saturday, we had a 2nd birthday party for Cassie (since all of the family was around). Sunday was Courtney's Christening. Monday we took my mum out for dinner (she turned 60 a couple of weeks ago). I also shot a couple more rolls of film while i was over there. The photos will be posted once i get the film developed. Then my brother followed me back to Orlando. We got to hang out a bit. Before I know it, the weekend will be here. Oh, and I got another raise yesterday. Yay me!

Lomo Photos
I finally got my film developed. Some photos didn't come out (I need to figure out how much light there needs to be). I bought some B & W film and some 400 speed. Oh, and some of the photos just looked like normal photos, so I didn't post them. I had several with light streaks in the same places. Maybe I didn't tape the camera up well enough. I did use blue masking tape and not black electrical tape, so I might try changing that too. I can't wait to go out and take some more photos.

LomoPhobe
My Lomo Holga 120N came in the mail today. I haven't the slightest clue of how to use it. But I'll learn the same way I learn everything else, by doing. The plan is to hit up Colonial Photo & Hobby for a few rolls of film this weekend. Of course, I'll put my results up here (good or bad).

Fire in the Sky
There was so much going on this weekend. Friday I met Mimi at the Dali Museum. I think the last time I went I was still in middle school. I've been wanting to get back there for quite a while now. So, I finally made it. I was surprised to see so many people there on a Friday, but I guess a lot of people had the day off.
I spent a couple of night over at Treasure Island on the beach. The view of the fireworks was awesome from the 5th floor. I threw together a comp of a bunch of photos I snapped with my iPhone. The delay on the iPhone camera is pretty horrible. I had to anticipate when the fireworks were going to explode in order to actually catch the image.
I've had It's For You by Out HUD kind of stuck in my head. I kept hearing it when I'd go out, but didn't Shazam it until last week.

IrisBoy Sketch
I was thinking I need to make a new homepage. My website is currently F'ed up since I tried to integrate my blog into it. Now it only loads in Safari for some reason. So, I was sketching last night and came up with this idea. I'd wanted to create another character with camera shutters for eyes. But I found a cool photo of a camera iris with some of the surrounding mechanical parts. I thought maybe it would be cool as a whole face. So, I wanted to start playing around with it.
Here's the IrisBoy CuppyCake Mix (from Mimi)
