Pillow Fight Night

Here are some photos from a couple of weekends ago. The roller derby team had a fund raiser over in Sanford. It involved a massive pillow fight, live music, and me DJing for the first time ever.

I freaking love this song!

Gotta Be Back In Time

I love how saturated these photos are. I am not sure if its the film or the Dianna that does it. There are some more photos to post from last weekend. Tonight is the Black Valentine's party (and my birthday party). Today is my last day of being 30. Hopefully I'll manage to get some pictures while I am running around.

Never a Dull Moment

After breakfast Saturday morning, I remembered my camera was in my car. I had considered trying to get some photos Friday night when I saw the Duke Ellington Orchestra at the Plaza Theatre. I didn't bring my camera in, and so it was sitting in my backseat. I wanted to shoot the last few frames so I could finish the roll and get it developed. I decided to drive downtown to take some pics of the new fire department. As I passed the Historical Center (where I saw the Jim Henson exhibition last year), I saw a truck and SUV with Ghostbusters markings on them. I walked back over to see what was going on and found the museum was opening a new exhibit. Of course I had to go see Ecto I (Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movies) and get some photos.

This was one of my favorite numbers from the Duke Ellington concert.

At the cemetry gates...

A dreaded sunny day
So let's go where we're happy
And I meet you at the cemetry gate

- The Smiths

Here are some photos from a while ago. I finally got the negatives scanned in. I'll probably end up posting the two rolls of film over a few posts. This has been such a weird weekend.

There are some strange videos out there. I don't mean strange as in "interesting". Here is an odd video for Cemetry Gates.

Great Week So Far

Yesterday I ordered a print of "The Cat in the Hat" by Jason Limon. I can't wait til it arrives!

I also finally got to see 500 Days of Summer with Jeff and Mori at the Enzian. It was such a great movie! It was funny, and cute, and depressing all at the same time. Some times it hit too close to home, but so worth watching.

Tonight is Dr. Sketchy at Tatame Lounge. I hope they have a really cool model (and that it's not too crowded). Last month there were too many people for me to enjoy it. I'll post some drawings if they turn out well. And hopefully my film will be ready to be picked up today.

Lomo Photos

I finally got my film developed. Some photos didn't come out (I need to figure out how much light there needs to be). I bought some B & W film and some 400 speed. Oh, and some of the photos just looked like normal photos, so I didn't post them. I had several with light streaks in the same places. Maybe I didn't tape the camera up well enough. I did use blue masking tape and not black electrical tape, so I might try changing that too. I can't wait to go out and take some more photos.
