I bought a Blackbird, Fly twin-lens reflex camera about a couple of months ago. I honestly don't remember when it was, but this is the first chance I've had to scan some photos in. Jeff and Ivan have been playing around with the camera at the farmer's market and at the air show we went to.
The photos I scanned are pretty over exposed and took some work to balance out. I'll have to do some test scans of the other roll of film and see how those turned out. Maybe its too bright to use ISO 400 film? Well, that just means I'll have to play around with it more and find out. I kind of like when things don't work out perfectly, because I like figuring out what went wrong.

I love these photos! You're always making me wanna get into photography.....
Do it!!! Your photos from Graceland were great! I bet you can easily find a photo lab in Chicago, and there must be tons of cool things to go photograph. You really don't have an excuse :)
I just looked up a store that is actually a client of ours downtown, I should go check them out then look into buying a camera. I saw a great photo exhibit yesterday at the Art Institute by William Eggleston and I really enjoyed his work.
I'll have to look up his work.
I bought my Holga 120N from http://www.adorama.com/ for about $28 with free shipping. There are only a few settings to mess with, so it's easy to learn.
That looks like the perfect starter camera! I should just email you instead of conversing on here...haha
Oh no, comment on extremely interested reader! Heh, I will shoot you an email.
