Some Photos From Japan

Here are a few photos. I am actually starting to get really tired. So, I better try and sleep while I can. Hopefully, I won't wake up in the middle of the night again.

How to Disappear Completely

Here are my first black and white photos with the Holga. I am really happy with the way they turned out. I shot this role in Ybor after Ryan's birthday.

How to Disappear Completely by Radiohead has been stuck in my head since leaving Japan the other day. I felt the video and the photos were pretty complimentary.

hEADING Home

No, i am not drunk> I am trying to post from the crappy computer (running windows 2000) in the lobby of my hotel in Shinjuku, I cant turn off the CAPS Lock, and the computer keeps randomly switching to typing Japanese. So, I'M sure I'LL look back and laugh at this nonsense. I've had such an incredible time here and i cant wait to visit again. I'LL post some photos when i get home> i'LL also post the photos i took with the HOlga when i get the film developed. hopefully the flight will go by quickly.

Halloween Costume Thoughts

That time of year is creeping up again. I decided early this year I want to be Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Every year I swear that I will begin working on my costume well ahead of time. So, I am actually starting to figure out what I'll need. I'll be flying to Japan before I know it, and I will find myself running out of time as usual I am sure. Plus, last year I stood in line at Jo Ann fabrics for about 40 minutes just to get some material cut. We'll see how it goes this time.

I am so excited that Spike Jonze directed the movie.

Great Week So Far

Yesterday I ordered a print of "The Cat in the Hat" by Jason Limon. I can't wait til it arrives!

I also finally got to see 500 Days of Summer with Jeff and Mori at the Enzian. It was such a great movie! It was funny, and cute, and depressing all at the same time. Some times it hit too close to home, but so worth watching.

Tonight is Dr. Sketchy at Tatame Lounge. I hope they have a really cool model (and that it's not too crowded). Last month there were too many people for me to enjoy it. I'll post some drawings if they turn out well. And hopefully my film will be ready to be picked up today.

Kraftwerk

I made James a cd and had wanted to put Tour de France on it, for old times sake. Well, I was disappointed that I couldn't find the song in my iTunes. I've been trying to consolidate my music from several different HD's. James came to Orlando and borrowed some of my cd's to listen to on the drive back. I got the cd's from my parents and on my drive back to Orlando, I found an old mix cd I'd made James that had Tour de France on it. I guess good songs never die.

And speaking of great Kraftwerk songs, The Model is one of my favorite songs ever.

Deep Blue

Deep Blue installation by Doug Rhodehamel was really great experience. Try and catch it soon, it's only at Boldhype until the middle of the week.
